"We have been with Eastern Downs Storage for nearly 12 months now. Vaughan and Karen run a very efficient business with a very friendly and welcoming manner. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We have had minor work done on our van and Vaughan does an excellent job at a very reasonable price. The van is always ready for us to pick up when arranged and there are never any problems with parking or use of their facilities. It is good to know that our van is always safe and secure. We have stored our van here safely undercover for a number of years during which time we have taken it out for numerous trips. The onsite pickup and return are always pleasantly handled by Karen and Vaughan without any hassles. Vaughan has very professionally carried out services and fitted a grey water tank. We recommend their services without hesitation.

We have entrusted the storage and safe keeping of our motorhome to Vaughan and Karen since October 2014. Vaughan and Karen offered a well thought out facility with just the best service around and it suited it us down to the ground. Do we intend to maintain our patronage of this excellent facility and service? You bet. Why? Well, we see others have detailed their experience with Eastern Downs Storage and Stopover and it’s nothing but positive. Ours is the same so no need to go over that. We invested heavily (for us) in our rig after retirement intending to use it as our holiday home which we have. It was important to us to have it looked after as we would when it was in storage and it certainly has been. The motorhome still presents as new. Vaughan and Karen are a delight to know and deal with. Vaughan does what’s necessary to keep the rig alive and in the event of any hiccup will deal with it and or enlists your aid if necessary. There are truly ‘no worries’ in our experience and we are most grateful to them both.

We have had the pleasure of using the Eastern Downs Storage & Stopover for a number of years. During this time we have found Karen and Vaughan friendly, courteous and always obliging to ensure that our needs are meet. For example, on pick up, the van is presented, outside cleaned, batteries charged and in a position for easy hook up at time requested. Their facilities are always clean, well maintained with the caravan undercover storage secure, clean and has no public access into this area.

Although we have only had our caravan stored at Eastern Downs Storage for 18 months, we have formed a very pleasant, friendly relationship with Karen & Vaughan in that time. Their attitude has always been welcoming and helpful. It’s always great to chat with them when picking up or returning the van about their travels as well as ours. Vaughan has a sympathetic ear in relation to caravanning problems and often comes up with solution or suggestion.

In relation to the storage facility itself, it is without doubt one of the best about. We feel totally confident and comfortable each time we drive home after leaving the van there. Even better is when we return to pick it up and arrive to see it there bright and sparkling, just as we left it and plugged into power with the fridge nice and cold.

We would highly recommend Eastern Downs Storage to anyone with a recreational vehicle, especially people who value their vehicles and want them to stay in the best condition possible.

We have been with EDSS for the past 4 years and are very pleased with the service and facilities. Karen & Vaughan are very obliging, friendly and helpful, always keeping good communication. It’s great to know that they are taking a personal interest in storing our camper.

The recent Covid travel restrictions highlight the benefits of having someone trustworthy and stable in charge. Especially when you are overseas. Nice to have peace of mind and that our assets are in good hands and will be available when needed.

The facilities are excellent, neat grounds with clean access. Having the shower, toilet and laundry available is a real plus. These are always kept clean and tidy. Vaughan & Karen have put a lot of thought and effort into their business. Their Undercover storage is excellent and the low humidity climate great for long term storage.

After about 6 years as a very happy customer/friend of EDSS I feel I can write a fairly honest critique of the excellent service we always receive.

Clifton is great little town to get to for us from Brisbane and is close to highways going in all directions. Nice little touches every time include a very warm welcome, fridge turned on and all ready to go. The good thing about Clifton is the dry air, so our camper is free from mould problems and is very secure in double locked sheds and gates.

We sometimes have a stopover before our holiday in the overnight section, it’s an area surrounded by gardens full of small birds and quiet out of town surroundings. Clifton’s butcher and supermarket are good for stocking up the fridge and pantry and a choice of good pubs with meals is a good holiday starter.

Thanks Karen and Vaughan for the many years you have treated us [and our camper] like family, we have really appreciated your care and friendship, please feel free to use my recommendation as you see fit and if any prospective customers would like to talk to an “independent” customer please pass on my contact details.

Our caravan couldn't be any more safe and secure than it is at EDSS. We enjoy the country drive to/from EDSS and Vaughan makes the pick-up and return so easy and convenient. Highly recommended and very good value for money.

Vaughan and Karen at Eastern Downs have looked after our successive 2 vans for the last 3 years and will be doing so for the foreseeable future. Their storage facility keeps our van clean and protected from the elements and provides us with the security we’d not have otherwise. They are both very willing to share their extensive experience and knowledge on the issues that arise as we learn the ropes of vanning. With the appropriate notice, our van is always ready for pickup as requested, and presented exactly as we’ve left it. We usually get to have a chat with one or both of them on pickup and delivery and they always show some interest in our adventures. Vaughan has been very accommodating when I’ve needed to carry out minor alterations by allowing brief access. The extras offered like the use of the dump point and toilet are very much appreciated. Kay and I would have no hesitation in recommending them and their facility to any prospective customer. They are good people!

In 2016 we made the best decision we could possibly make after purchasing our caravan by leaving our caravan with Karen and Vaughan in between trips. Every time we travel, fellow caravan owners remark on how new it still looks, away from the wear that occurs when they are housed outside. We now don’t worry about storm season knowing that our van is tucked up securely at Clifton. By storing our van we feel almost part of a family in the way that Karen and Vaughan interact with you. It’s been fantastic to have Vaughan readily making small upgrades on request and happily servicing the van when the time comes at most reasonable rates.

No doubt we’ll be keeping our van storage at Clifton in the future for the friendly courteous service, the peace of mind it gives us with the van and the convenience it offers

Since 2012 we have stored our vans with Eastern Downs Storage. We cannot speak highly enough of Vaughan and Karen for the professional and personal service they have given to us during this time. They are always obliging with regards to having our caravan available. Our van is stored in a very secure and clean environment. Vaughan is always available for helpful advice and brings to our notice anything that should be attended to. His knowledge of caravans is invaluable. It gives us the peace of mind that our van is being well cared for. Vaughan also services our caravan which gives us the confidence of knowing when we head off on a trip our van is ready to go. We live in New Zealand and usually travel around Australia during our winter months. We have been all around Australia having travelled during the years 2008 to 2019 except for 2012, 2013 and 2014 and of course in 2020 due to Covid 19. We now only travel within Queensland and consider ourselves very lucky to have found Karen and Vaughan to store our vehicles with. Their Service, Hospitality and Storage facility is by far the best we have found in our extensive travels in Australia. We are so pleased to have found them especially now that we can`t travel over to use our vehicles due to Covid 19. Hopefully we will be able to later this year.
